Scotch-Brite Hookit Clean & Finish Sanding Disc PR-HA guarantees excellent cutting power, long life and fine finish and is an effective solution for conditioning aluminium, stainless steel, plastics, wood and fibreglass. Designed for fine finishing, preparing for paintwork and scratch removal, this disc is also suitable for use on irregular surfaces. In doing so, it ensures a clean and consistent finish without damaging the base material.

Our discs use an aluminium oxide-based abrasive material, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals for its fast cutting speed and long life. They are unique surface conditioning products, with abrasive grains embedded in non-woven nylon fibres. This mineral is a strong, durable abrasive material that self-breaks during use to expose new cutting edges, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, wear out quickly with use. Due to its high cutting speed, hardness, strength and low heat retention, the alumina mineral is widely used in grinding applications, in addition to sanding and finishing. Aluminium oxide is suitable for numerous substrates in both wood and metalworking, including ferroalloys. Scotch-Brite is a unique surface finishing product with an abrasive material in non-woven nylon fibres. The combination of abrasive material in fibres creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the life of the product. The open web material is full web resistant and maintains high performance of the abrasive minerals as the nylon fibres are less likely to clog. We offer a complete range of 3M Hookit Discs with Velcro for workshops where self-adhesive discs can become contaminated by dust, dirt or residue floating around. They are often used in applications where a 3M Stikit Disc might be too aggressive, as Hookit Discs tend to leave finer finishes than discs with adhesive backs. Hookit Sanding Discs adhere conveniently and securely to a Velcro backing disc (sold separately) on an eccentric sander, can be easily removed without leaving residue and can be used again and again throughout their lifetime.
